Your customer isn't getting the Wix form confirmation email
Reviewed · White Dot
The confirmation email to the person who filled in your form and the notification to you are separate. Each is its own Send an email action in Automations. If yours arrives and theirs doesn't, the problem is in the confirmation automation or on the customer's side.
If you got a bounce message
A bounce means the customer's mail server refused the email. It usually says why, such as "mailbox full" or "address not found". If it says the address doesn't exist, check the spelling the customer typed in the form.
Check the confirmation automation
- Open Automations and find the automation that sends the confirmation for that form.
- Open its Send an email action. The recipient should be the person who submitted the form, taken from the form's email field, not a fixed address.
- Make sure the form has an email field. Wix can't send a confirmation without one.
- Check that the automation is saved and active.
If it fails only for some customers
Some company mail filters reject automated email. Ask the customer to check spam and quarantine, or to ask their IT team to allow the sender. A setting on your side can't change what their server accepts.
You won't lose the inquiry
Wix still saves each submission in Forms & Submissions, so you can reply to the customer yourself while you fix the confirmation.
Test it
Submit the form with an email address you control, then check that inbox and its spam folder. If nothing arrives, open the automation's run log for that time and look at the Send an email step. Never test with a customer's address.
If your own notifications are missing too, use our checklist for missing notification emails.
